Description of Course:

It’s artistic and it’s fashionable. Learn the amazing techniques of silk painting and batik. Create your own paintings and other decorative pieces and more.

In this class, your child will learn different art techniques, which are the building blocks that will provide a solid foundation for future art lovers and artists. They will explore the great world of art by using silks, pastels, batik, colored pencils, watercolor and acrylic paint , also some hand and machine sewing techniques.

Students will be taught in a class/workshop format . This class will help children to discover and further develop their creativity, individuality and unique style.

I will guide students to reaching their greatest potential and making works of art to be proud of using a variety of techniques and media. Children will work on multiple drawings using special pen- cils, silk and batik techniques and acrylic paints.

During each term all students will create at least 3 items to bring home or one large item. Please note that this very much depends on individual creative and artistic abilities and details or the size of the items they work on .
