Yelena Kosikh, Fashion Designer and Artist was born in Yerevan, Armenia . Graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia in 2001. And was working there as a Fashion consultant then as an Art consultant. Afterwards working as an independent artist.
Relocated and working in Ireland from early 2000s.

As an established Batik artist (Silk paintings) , she is also using oil painting , watercolor and textile painting techniques. Took part in many exhibitions in the country and abroad.

Her paintings and art works are spread all over the world.

Batik is both an art and a craft, which is becoming more popular and well known in the world as a wonderfully creative art style. The art of decorating cloth in this way, using wax and dye, has been practised for centuries. In Java, Indonesia, batik is part of an ancient tradition, and some of the finest batik cloth in the world is still made there.

Oil Painting

Oil painting is the process of painting with pigments that are bound with a medium of drying oil. Commonly used drying oils include linseed oil, poppy seed oil, walnut oil, and safflower oil. Different oils confer various properties to the oil paint, such as less yellowing or different drying times. Certain differences are also visible in the sheen of the paints depending on the oil. An artist might use several different oils in the same painting depending on specific pigments and effects desired.

Watercolor or watercolour , also aquarelle from French, is a painting method in which the paints are made of pigments suspended in a water-soluble vehicle. The term "watercolor" refers to both the medium and the resulting artwork. The traditional and most common support for watercolor paintings is paper; other supports include papyrus, bark papers, plastics, vellum or leather, fabric, wood, and canvas.
